Terms and Conditions
- You cannot change the name or the link once you have submitted them. You must make sure your submission is accurate. The only exception is if you have a strong reason why you need to change your link, eg. your site is no longer live, lawsuits etc. If you require the link to be changed to a different URL you will be charged US$15.
- Once your name and link are accepted and published on the website, you will no longer be able to apply for a refund.
- The site will be online for at least 5 years (starting from the date it launched - 18th November 2005).
- No obscene/offensive/adult/risqué/gambling links will be accepted. We reserve the right to decide what is appropriate for the site. If you submit a link that is rejected, you will have the opportunity to provide an alternative, otherwise 90% your money will be refunded and you will lose your submission. 10% of your money will be kept to cover administrative costs & credit card transaction fees. If you believe we have inappropriately rejected a link and you can prove it is not obscene/offensive/adult/risqué then we will refund 100% of your money. - If your link is accepted and you later change the content of the linked site to show offensive/obscene/adult material then your link will be removed and no refund will be entertained.
- MillionSurnames.com is not responsible for the content of any external internet sites. The inclusion of a link to a third party website from MS website should not be understood as an endorsement. MS greatly welcome its supporters and sponsors to help and monitor the website. Please report any faulty or offensive links.
- If for whatever reason in the future you want your link removed from the website, you can do that. However you will not be eligible for a refund.
- Links must be to web pages only and begin with http://
- You must have the authority to provide the surname and link for the website you submit.
- Funds must be fully recieved and cleared before your surname and link will go live on the website.
- There might be occasional downtime for site maintenence but we will keep this to a minimum.
- Once you have ordered and the funds have cleared (eg. in our PayPal or bank account), we will aim to get your surname and link online within 24-48hrs. Please have patience if things kick off and loads of people order at the same time, and during holiday periods.
- If you are below 18 years of age and would like to sponsor a surname please make sure you have sought permission from the paying adult or guardian.
- By sponsoring a surname or a surname & link on the site you are agreeing to the terms and conditions listed above.
- We reserve the right to change or amend our terms and conditions with or without prior notice.
